Mustafa Özen wins best paper award in 2011 IEEE WAMICON

Mustafa Özen, Ph D student from MEL at MC2, Gigahertz Centre won the first place award in the best conference paper competition of IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference, 2011. The paper presents a novel digital radio transmitter architecture for future 3G radio base stations and beyond. The main feature of the presented transmitter is its high energy conversion efficiency opening a way for environment friendly wireless network infrastructures. This research has been carried out in a close collaboration between researchers of NXP Semiconductors, The Netherlands and MC2 researchers. Assoc. Prof. Christian Fager and Prof. Rik Jos is involved in this project.
