Microwave Electronics Laboratory

Our focus is applicationoriented research on high-frequency devices and integrated circuits (MMICs). Our most important laboratory resources are a dedicated compound semiconductor process in the MC2 cleanroom, and a world-class microwave measurement laboratory covering frequencies up to 300 GHz and beyond. Our research enables progress and breakthroughs for a range of microwave applications, in particular wireless communication, space sensors, and radar systems. We have a long-developed collaboration programme with industrial partners.

Head of Laboratory is Herbert Zirath.
