The department performs education at both Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.

At Chalmers, courses are given in the different undergraduate engineering programmes and in education at Chalmers Lindholmen. At the University of Gothenburg, courses are given in different study programmes and as independent courses.

The department has three international master's programmes, one at Chalmers, one at University of Gothenburg, and one that is divided between Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg.

Postgraduate education is given at Chalmers within two research schools, mathematics and mathematical statistics, and at the University of Gothenburg in the same subject areas. The department also contributes to Chalmers graduate school in Bioscience.
