The SKF Chalmers University Technology Centre (UTC) for Sustainability is a center for collaborative research between SKF and Chalmers University of Technology. It conducts research on ways for mainstream business to meet the global challenges of sustainability, in terms of growth of green business, reduced exposure to sustainability related risks, increased revenue and reduced cost through efficiency in materials, energy and organization.

The center aims to provide new knowledge that challenges established perspectives and ways-of working with industrial sustainability, targeting future opportunities and risks, new business models and new ways of working. The UTC conducts collaborative research with active industrial involvement academic projects and parallel projects within the company.
 

It is funded by SKF and was launched in 2011.
