This document is a vision of the future directions of research for GAC, though a description of the missions, values, strengths and implementations of the visions will also be given. The document has been worked out by the GAC board members, with help from several leading scientists within GAC. As with any strategic plan, it must both articulate our guiding principles and leave GAC flexible enough to evolve with changing priorities and new scientific insights.
