The Gothenburg Atmospheric Science CentreThe Gothenburg Atmospheric Science Centre is a centre for activities in atmospheric science in the Gothenburg region. The objective of the centre is to coordinate and strengthen the existing atmospheric research resources and activities in the region. The ambition of GAC is to develop the centre into an important national- as well as international research organisation. BackgroundSeen from a broad environmental perspective, Gothenburg with its many strong research groups and individuals as well as research institutes and other partners has a great potential to develop an internationally strong atmospheric research centre. The Gothenburg Atmospheric Science Centre was formed in 2004 to coordinate and strengthen the existing resources and activities in the region. The ambition of GAC is to develop the centre into an important research organisation nationally as well as internationally. Objectives and assignmentsThe main objective of GAC is to promote atmospheric science in the Gothenburg region.
