ResearchFundamental physics is the study of basic building blocks, matter, and forces in our Universe. In short, it comprises topics that are fundamental to our description of the physical world, from microscopic elementary paticles to astronomical objects and structures.
In addition to the research conducted within the department, Fundamental Physics has an active collaboration with other departments at Chalmers and various institutions around the world which share the goal to understand the fundamental properties of the Universe.
