Aymen Yangui

Researcher, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Energy and Materials, Environmental Inorganic Chemistry 2

Dr. Yangui is working as researcher at the division of Energy and Materials, department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on the study of the relationship between structure and dynamics, and the photophysical properties of different technologically important luminescent systems, such as hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (for solar cells and LEDs) and inorganic phosphors (for LEDs). The unifying goal is to get a better understanding of the coupling between structural and physical properties in order to improve the light emission efficiency and to discover new properties. The main tools of his research are photoluminescence spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques. Dr. Yangui is, in collaboration with a Swedish company, also involved in a project to employ luminescent ionic nanoparticles as temperature sensors in FeCrAl steels for high-temperature applications.
