Valeria Saavedra

PhD student; Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry

Valeria Saavedra (M.Sc.) is employed as a doctoral student at the Division of Physical Chemistry, Chalmers, University of Technology. Her current research interests are focused on the study of conduction band mediated photocalatysis for CO2 reduction as well as electron transfer processes in Dye-Sensitized solar cells. Valeria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and received her Master of Science degree in Chemistry for Renewable Energy at Uppsala University. Valeria Saavedra (M. Sc.) is employed as a doctoral student at the Division of Physical Chemistry, Chalmers University of Technology. Her research focuses on the study of electron transfer processes at dye-semiconductor interfaces, which are important for solar energy conversion applications. The aim of her research is to gain more knowledge about the mechanisms behind these processes, and how the properties of dyes, semiconductors and electrolytes influence them. Valeria holds a Bachelor´s degree in Chemistry and received her Master of Science degree in Chemistry for Renewable Energy at Uppsala University.
