Mohammad Salahi Nezhad

PhD Student at the division of Material and Computational Mechanics, Department of Industrial and Materials Science

Mohammad is a PhD student at the the division of material and computational mechanics, IMS. Mohammad's project focuses on growth of rolling contact fatigue cracks. The aim of the project is to investigate and develop methods to predict crack progression in railway wheels and rails. This find can be used in design and maintenance of railway infrastructures. Mohammad uses detailed finite elements analyses for crack growth simulations and these numerical simulations should be compared to operational data.
