Rikard Edland

PhD Student, Department of Space, Earth and Environment, Energy Technology.

Rikard Edland works with combustion chemistry in flames. His research is focused on how pollutants like nitrogen oxides (NOx) are formed during combustion processes and how this formation is influenced by different parameters. The work has an industrial focus towards the iron ore industry and includes experimental work both in Chalmers and in industrial facilities, as well as detailed simulations of the nitrogen chemistry. Rikard also teaches in the course Thermodynamics with Energy Technology in the mechanical engineering program.
Rikard is a teaching assistant in the course Thermodynamics with Energy Technology (MTF042).
