Irina Nefedova

Postdoc position (guest) at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Terahertz and Millimetre Wave Laboratory

Irina Nefedova is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University, Finland, and a Visitor Researcher at the Terahertz and Millimetre Wave Laboratory at the Chalmers University of Technology from October 2020 till June 2021. She received the B.Sc. and Ms.Sc. degrees in physics from Saratov State University, Russia, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Next she received Licentiate of Science (Technology) and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Aalto University in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
Currently, she is working on the quasioptical system assembly, THz and Millimetre-wave techniques with applications to remote sensing and medical imaging. Her work experience is mostly experimental but always accompanied by numerical analysis. Another activity includes the determination, design, and test of the calibration standards and on-wafer measurements of the European Schottky diodes and low-noise HEMT devices at 325-500 GHz. She is also co-advising and instructing master-level and PhD students.
