Nalin Kumar Sharma

Doctor, Electrical Engineering

Nalin Kumar Sharma is a postdoctoral fellow in Mechatronics research group of Systems and Control division. He is associated with optimal energy management of vehicles in miscellaneous traffic. The objective of his research is to develop model-based and cooperative predictive controllers for vehicles considering surrounding vehicles such that the overall fuel consumption and pollution decrease.

Nalin received his PhD in Control and Automation, from Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India in 2018. In his PhD thesis, he proposed a new concept in control theory, known as "Discrete-time Higher Order Sliding Mode".
