Seikh Rahman is working to develop high/intermediate temperature ceramic/oxide electrolytes/electrodes for solid oxide fuel cells and H2 separation membranes. Proton conducing electrolyte material is being studied with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and structure/ local proton environment and hydration behaviour is investigated by neutron/ X-ray diffraction and in-situ neutron techniques.
