Philip Gerlee

Associate Professor, Mathematical Sciences

My main research interest is mathematical biology, in particular cancer modelling. I am also interested in mathematical aspects of evolution and ecology, such as the evolution of bacterial consortia and applications of game theory to biology.
​I mostly teach mathematical modelling within the teacher training program and the Master's programme Lärande och ledarskap in the courses LGMA60, LGMA65 and MVE380. In 2019 I also gave a graduate course in Mathematical Biology.

I also supervise MSc-theses in mathematical biology. Currently the following projects are available:
  • Modelling tumour growth using Diffusion Tensor Imaging
  • Spatial game theory
