Franz Kirsten

Post Doc, Department of Space, Earth and Environment, Astronomy and Plasma Physics, Galactic Astronomy.

Franz is interested in all things related to Pulsars: Their birth locations and formation process, their whereabouts in the
Galaxy, the mechanism driving their emission and also the efects the interstellar medium has on their radiation.
Franz uses radio telescopes around the globe to study Pulsars and other compact objects using a technique called Very Long Baseline Interferometry.
