Emke Vrasdonk

PhD Student, Environmental Systems Analysis, Technology Management and Economics

Emke joined the Division of Environmental Systems Analysis as a PhD student in summer 2015. Her research concerns impacts of land use and land use change from products and production systems on biodiversity and ecosystem services. Emke’s work aims primarily at the identification and development of methods for the inclusion of biodiversity indicators in life cycle assessment (LCA) and multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), two frequently used tools for decision support in the environmental context.

She participates in the ‘Bio-LCA’ project "Biodiversity indicators in life cycle assessments in forestry and agriculture", which includes a trans disciplinary team of researchers of the Systems Biology Research Centre at University of Skövde (HIS), the Swedish Biodiversity Centre at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and the divisions of Environmental Systems Analysis and Physical Resource Theory at Chalmers.
