Edvin is a PhD student in Martin Andersson’s research group at the division of Applied Chemistry. His research is focused on antibacterial solutions for medical devices and applications within wound care. Special attention is given to the covalent combination of Antimicrobial peptides to soft hydrogels made from self-assembled polymers. The overall aim on the project is to find solutions to combat microbial infections that does not rely on antibiotics, in order to reduce the spread of antibiotic resistance.
