Daniela Michael

Project Manager in global sustainable development and strategic collaborations, at the Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV)

Daniela Michael is a project manager working with the collaboration platform Global Sustainable Futures (focusing on low- and middle-income countries) and with a strategic internationalization initiative aiming to explore possibilities and develop collaboration with partner universities in East Africa (within food, water, energy, transport etc.). In addition, she is coordinating the Swedish university partners in two Sida programs together with Rwanda and Mozambique (Research Training Partnership Programme).

Daniela has one Master’s degree in International Development Cooperation (with specialization in African studies) and one in Geography. She conducted her master’s theses as field studies in Mozambique and Ethiopia focusing on sustainable development in relation to food security. Previous project management roles at Chalmers have mainly centered around international collaborations and strategic partnerships involving various countries, stakeholders and multidisciplinary approaches. She has also worked at the UN University Office in New York with international conferences (on the Millennium Development Goals) and for a Swedish NGO operating in Latin America (on capacity development and inclusiveness).
