Changfu Zou

Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering

Changfu Zou is an Assistant Professor in the automatic control research group. His research interests include modelling and control of energy storage systems and electric transport, with the aim to improve their efficiency, safety and sustainability. He is currently involved in several research projects funded by the Swedish Research Council, Swedish Energy Agency, Swedish Innovation Agency, EU Horizon 2020, Mistra Innovation, etc. His work is in close collaboration with industry such as Volvo Cars and Volvo AB.

Dr Zou was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the same research group at Chalmers and a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He obtained the B.E. degree in Vehicle Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, China, and the PhD degree in Automation and Control Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Current recruitments (together with Prof Torsten Wik): two fully-funded PhD students, one on battery thermal control and fault prognosis, and the other on battery reconfiguration. These will be published at Chalmers Vacancies in February 2020.
