Nikolaos Stathopoulos

Postdoctoral researcher, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Building technology, Building physics modelling

Nikolaos is a Postdoctoral Research fellow at the Division of Building Technology, within the Building Physics Modelling research group.
Nikolaos is interested in the energy and environmental performance of buildings, focusing on thermal energy storage technology and phase change materials. The goal is to generate practical and reliable tools for integrated planning of solutions for demand side management of thermal energy for heating and cooling of buildings. Parallel research interests are related to ventilation, thermal comfort and indoor air quality.
Nikolaos holds a Physics degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), a Master’s Degree in Physical and Environmental Sciences of the Building from ENTPE (Lyon, France) and a PhD degree in Energy and Thermal Engineering from ENTPE (Lyon, France).
