Chalmers does not guarantee accommodations for Master's Programme students.

Chalmers University of Technology has reserved a limited number of apartments for international master students at Chalmers Studentbostäder. For more information please read the instructions provided in the "Welcome letter" you will get in connection with admission to a Masters programme.

Boplats Göteborg-  web page for private rooms and subletting

At Boplats Göteborg homepage international students are requested to search for private rooms and sublet apartments. During the summer Boplats Göteborg has extra staff in reception on Rosenlundplatsen 1 in Gothenburg who will guide students on the housing market in Gothenburg.

Arrive early

We advise students to arrive early, since getting a permanent accommodation may take some time.  Master's Programme students should be prepared for the fact that they may have to spend some time in youth hostels/hotels (list of youth hostels/hotels and phonenumbers see below) and costs will be paid by the student him/herself.

Accommodation for exchange students

Exchange students (Erasmus, Nordtek/Nordplus, UNITECH, Bilateral and SI/STINT scholarship holders) are guaranteed accommodation. The admitted exchange students will receive a Housing application form from the coordinator at Chalmers. It's very important that you have a Housing Contract before you come to Chalmers. You will not be able to sign out a key at the International Student Center.

Keys and contract

SGS Studentbostader will offer you a Housing Contract by e-mail before you arrive to Sweden. The contracts are for max. one academic year and cannot be extended. Along with the contract you will receive all information about payments, signing the contract and when and  where you can pick up the keys. The keys will be picked up at the SGS area offices close to your accommodation.
