Nordic Master in Maritime Management
The programme is run jointly by Nordic Maritime Academies with the aim of giving officers and shore-based personnel in the shipping cluster an opportunity for further education in this subject. It is aimed at three groups: officers looking for a broader and deeper knowledge of operating a vessel, officers trying to find a shore-based job in the shipping cluster, and shore-based personnel looking for deeper knowledge in shipping and logistics.
ProgrammeThe educational programme consists of both common courses and elective courses. All participants follow the common courses. The elective courses provide opportunity for students to broaden and deepen their knowledge of particular topics of interest. Concentrated meetings at the universityMost students work and study at the same time. Many of them are seafarers. Therefore the study plan consists of concentrated meetings to enable the students to combine work and studies. The meetings within the programme take place usually one week per month and mostly at Chalmers. Every semester students travel and visit one of other participating academies. Such visits last few days. Accommodation and travel costs are covered by the students. Between meetings students write their assignments and do group works projects using online study platform. Application to the programmeApply to the programme on www.studera.nu.
