Organisational Capabilities for Life Cycle Management

Traditionally, environmental management has been conducted from the perspective of an individual corporation. But environmental life cycle management (LCM) is instead about having a perspective where environmental aspects are considered in the whole product chain; from raw material extraction, to production of components, production of final product, the usage phase, and finally end-of-life management. Trying to manage product chains in an environmentally sustainable way is a huge contemporary challenge, and the question in large multinational corporations (MNC) is, how to manage LCM in the everyday business management?

The overall aim of the project Organizing for LCM is to broaden the understanding of existing LCM practice in MNCs, and to find ways of furthering the development and integration of LCM into business processes and everyday activities
