The purpose of the project “Knowledge Creation and Creativity in Lean Organizations” is to analyze how organizational resources act as prerequisites for knowledge creation. Our research makes a contribution to both theory and practice. To theory by conducting the first detailed and comprehensive investigation of resilience. Thus, our studies furthers the understanding of how to operationalize this concept. Our study also answers the call for more studies examining both the explicit and tacit components of knowledge.
Previous research has modeled trust as an outcome of predictability, i.e., when the actions of organizational members are perceived as predictable, then trust will increase and we show that trust increases creativity. The project also contributes to an understanding of how and why trust is important in product development organizations and of how trust can be actively managed.
