K3 is short for "knowledge triangle" and is a Chalmers-wide project to strengthen the collaborations between education, research and impact, also involving triple helix stakeholders. In doing this, Challenge Lab will be the vehicle for developing such collaborations and to define new developed approaches that would strengthen Chalmers ability to lead transformational development with multiple stakeholders.
With student involvement and Chalmers Areas of Advance, Challenge Lab aim to become an arena for multi-stakeholder collaboration, in a Science Park context inviting industry and governmental agencies to collaborate around challenges for a sustainable society. The first pilot of Challenge Lab is located at Lindholmen Science Park, focusing on sustainable transport solutions. In a next phase areas will be added and a Lab will also be located in the new part of Johanneberg Science Park.
The project is funded by VINNOVA.
