Mapping environmental issues affecting R & D processes in large Swedish companies
During the recent years environmental aspects have entered the business agenda. The purpose of a survey is to create a detailed picture of large companies' activities related to environmental aspects, ie. both with regards to reducing their operational environmental footprint and R & D and product development that have environmental aspects as a driver.
The population under study consists of the 100 largest companies in respect of number of employees in Sweden and with R & D activities in Sweden. Information from companies' annual reports is collected, but also information from the internet and possibly contacts with the companies may be considered. The project requires some method development. Both quantitative and qualitative information will be collected and stored in a database. The information stored can consist of text and consist of categorization of identified activities that can be aggregated.
