<h4>Ongoing external assignments</h4><p>Chairman of the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://www.kva.se/en/contact/NationalICSU-kommitteer/Mathematics-/">Swedish National Committee for Mathematics</a> since 2020 and hence the representative for Sweden in the International Mathematical Union, IMU.</p><p>Member of the board of the University of Gävle, appointed by the government in 2020</p><p>CEO for <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://akelius-math.com">Akelius Math AB</a> since autumn 2023</p><h4>Previous external assignments</h4><p>Member of the Royal The Academy of Sciences' Committee for Education between 2017-2023</p><p>Member of the Science Festival's scientific council, Chalmers representative between 2017-2023</p><p>Expert assessor for STINT's sabbatical grant 2019-2022</p><p>Member of the scientific council for Universeum's mathematics initiative in 2022 which led to the mathematics activities in Mathrix.</p><p>Expert assessor for UKÄ when assessing subject teacher training in mathematics 2019.</p><p>During the years 2011-2016 I was chairman of SKM - the Swedish Committee for Mathematics Education, which is a sub-organization of the Swedish National Committee for Mathematics where I was also a member. SKM is also a national sub-organization of ICMI, the International Commission for Mathematical Instruction where I, in the role of SKM's chairman, was Sweden's representative. Through SKM, I was responsible for the Kleindagarna, which is arranged together with the Institut Mittag-Leffler, the National Committee for Mathematics and is financed by Brummer &amp; Partners.</p><p>In 2017-2021, I was chair of the collegial board at Mathematical Sciences.</p>

<h4>My research interests</h4><p>I am interested in learning mathematics, subject teacher training, teachers' competence needs, and how to engage teachers in studying their own teaching. I have supervised two doctoral students to a PhD degree.</p><h4>Previous research collaborations</h4><p>Has done research together with people at KTH, LU, and UmU and supervised together with people at GU, JU, HV, SU, and the University of Agder.</p>

<h4>Teaching</h4><p>As an employee at Mathematical Sciences, I have the privilege of teaching students both at Chalmers and at the University of Gothenburg.
