Indian and Chinese citizens applying for a master’s program at Chalmers can now apply for scholarships that cover full tuition fees. The program encompasses four scholarships annually, and is funded by AB Volvo.
“The introduction of tuition fees for international students from regions that are important for Volvo does not benefit our supply of global talent. We have decided to support Chalmers, and contribute to a scholarship program so that the international profile of Chalmers Master's programs is maintained and developed,” says Jan-Eric Sundgren, Executive Vice President of Public & Environmental Affairs, Volvo Group.
“A strong international study environment benefits us, Chalmers and the talented students who want to come to Sweden for their education. We believe that it also is an important competitive factor for Sweden as an industrial nation.”
“India and China are two strategically important countries for Chalmers. It is very satisfying to see that our good cooperation with the Volvo Group now also includes scholarships for international students from these two countries,” says Anders Wennberg, Chief Resource Officer at Chalmers.
