Information related to Covid-19

Chalmers follows the authorities recommendations and risk assessments. At the current moment, we cannot predict the level of spread of the coronavirus, or for how long the national and regional restrictions will remain in place. As soon as the national and regional restrictions are lifted, our goal is to gradually return to more on-campus teaching.

The following applies to all education at Chalmers for Autumn 2021:

  • Teaching at Chalmers will be carried out in a hybrid format during study period 1 (30 August–31 October 2021) with the distribution between digital and campus-based teaching depending on prevailing restrictions and recommendations. Our aim is that you will spend at least half of your scheduled time on campus during study period 1.
  • The aim for study period 2 (1 November 2021–16 January 2022) is that all teaching can be conducted without restrictions.
  • All students, including international master’s students, must be prepared to participate in on-campus studies throughout the semester.
  • This means that it will not be possible to start distance learning during the autumn semester 2021.
  • Guidelines for how examinations will be conducted during the autumn semester will be made in a special decision no later than August 2021. Depending on how the pandemic situation develops, it may change before each new study period.
