Chalmers has contracted a number of student rooms which are available for international students. All administration - i.e. contracts, keys, payments - are handled directly by the housing agencies.
Applications for accommodation are submitted online during specific time periods for different categories of students. You will receive more detailed information about how to apply and when by e-mail. It is therefore very important to check your e-mail for this information.

Student categories
Master's students paying tuition fees
Chalmers guarantees accommodation for international students who pay tuition fees. Please note that you will have to apply for housing to SGS bostäder or Chalmers studentbostäder no later than 4 May for the guarantee to be valid. More detailed information about how to apply for accommodation will be sent by e-mail when you are admitted.
Master's students not paying tuition fees
Chalmers cannot guarantee accommodation for this student category. Nevertheless, chances of finding a room via the municipal housing agency (Boplats) or the Student housing companies are good. Further information on how to apply for student rooms will be sent by e-mail.
Erasmus/Bilateral exchange students
Chalmers cannot guarantee accommodation for this category of exchange students. Nevertheless, chances of finding a room via the municipal housing agency (Boplats) or the Student housing companies are good. Further information on how to apply for student rooms will be sent by e-mail.
Other exchange students
Information for NCTU/UNITECH/ERASMUS Mundus/Double Degree/Linnaeus-Palme students:
Accommodation is guaranteed for students who are admitted to Chalmers within the above mentioned agreements. After admission, further information about accommodation will be provided by the exchange coordinator at Chalmers. Please note that you will have to apply for housing to SGS bostäder or Chalmers studentbostäder no later than 4 May for the guarantee to be valid.
Student housing agencies
Chalmers Studentbostäder offers accommodation close to either the main Chalmers campus in the city or the new campus on Lindholmen.
SGS Studentbostäder offers accommodation in several parts of the city to students in Gothenburg.
Boplats Göteborg is the main portal for rental housing in Gothenburg where international students may search for private rooms and sublet apartments.
