Scholarship Opportunities for Ecuadorian Applicants

Chalmers has a wide range of scholarships that it's applicants are free to choose from. Some of these scholarships are applicable to specific applicants of specific nationalities. Information on all of these scholarships can be found on the Chalmers Scholarships webpage.

Ecuadorian student loan organizations

  • Senescyt – Applications are offered twice a year and it is held by the government of Ecuador, administrated by the Senescyt. Chalmers is listed as a university in the “Convocatoria abierta” list on the seccions: “Tecnologias de la información y comunicación” and “Ingeniería, industria y construcción
  • IFTH – You can get a student loan with a lower interest rate, held by the “Instituto de Fomento al Talento Humano” up to USD 50,000.
  • Financial intermediary as national banks or companies investments.
  • Private banks – Some private banks offer student loans with a beneficial interest rate.

Chalmers Challenges

Chalmers conducts online competitions around the year. Students from around the world are encouraged to participate in these competitions. Prizes for these competitions vary from Amazon vouchers to travel grants. We host more information about our competition on the Chalmers Challenges webpage. 

Transcripts & Supporting Documents

All documents should be submitted in the original language (Spanish) along with copies of officially certified translations in English. To make it legal you need to cross check your translations before a public notary by legally recognizing the signatures of the translator.

Documents which required certification stamps

  • Diplomas and transcripts – from a national certificate institution (Bachelor diploma, graduation minute, previous studies, summer courses, etc.)

Documents which doesn’t required any certification stamp

  • Relevant pages of your passport (or other valid ID) with citizenship clearly visible
  • Cover sheet printed from
  • English language certification
  • Proof that you meet the specific entry requirements.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Project Portfolio. The project portfolio is a specific requirement for Architecture and Urban Design, Design for Sustainable Development, Nordic Master in Sustainable Transitions and Industrial Design Engineering
  • Letter of intent /motivation (also relevant for the assessment of tuition scholarship applicants).
  • Relevant work experience
  • Letters of recommendation (academic and work)

English Requirements

Ecuadorian applicants conventionally prove their English proficiency by submitting their scores from competitive English tests such as TOEFL and IELTS.
