Key dates

This is an overview of important dates throughout the application process, up to the beginning of your Master’s studies. Please note: The dates below may be subject to changes and information may be added.
The application period for Master’s programmes starting in autumn 2019
16 October 2018 – 15 January 2019.

16 October 2018
The online application service portal opens at universityadmissions.se or antagning.se
The application period for Master's programmes opens for national and international students.
Submit supporting documentation
The list of required documents is specific to Chalmers and applies to all applicants including those with a Swedish personal identity number and/or Swedish citizenship.
If required, pay the application fee of 900 SEK (Swedish kronor) to universityadmissions.se. The payment must reach University Admissions by 1 February 2019, in order for your application to be processed.

15 January 2019 (application deadline at midnight CET)

Application deadline for scholarships administered by Chalmers University of Technology (the portal at chalmers.se closes). Note, the SI scholarships are not administrated by Chalmers.

6 January 2019 and onwards
After the 15th of January it may still be possible to submit an application for some Master’s programmes. Any application submitted from 16th of January and onwards will be considered as a late application. Note, Chalmers does not guarantee the processing of applications submitted after the general deadline, even when the application fee has been paid.

1 February 2019
The deadline for all supporting documentation.
No documents should be sent directly to Chalmers University of Technology.
Applicants with degrees from Swedish universities must fulfill all requirements, no later than by the above date, i.e. the results may be achieved no later than by this date. The results may however be formally registered in Ladok up to 20 February.

1 February 2019
The deadline for receipt of the application fee, if required.
The deadline for documentation proving your fee exemption status (EU/EEA citizens etc).
Note, one or the other is required in order for your application to be processed.

4 April 2019
The official Notification of Selection Results is published at your personal account at universityadmissions.se or antagning.se. No hard copy will be sent out.

March to late April 2019
Scholarship Award Notifications will be sent out (by e-mail) to all grant recipients.
Note, this applies to scholarships administered by Chalmers University of Technology only (the SI scholarships are not administrated by Chalmers).

10 May 2019
The first installment of the tuition fee must have been received by Chalmers by this date (payment for the 1st semester out of 4). This applies to fee paying students only.
 
Last week of August 2019
Welcome to Chalmers! Chalmers University of Technology and Chalmers International Reception Committee (CIRC) arrange a welcome week for all new students.

2 September 2019
The 1st day of the autumn semester 2019 for all programmes at Chalmers.
You must have registered online no later than 2 September 2019. To register online is mandatory in order to keep the offered study place.
