Prerequisites and registration
Applicants should be enrolled as PhD-students. The course is limited to 12 participants. Priority is given to doctoral candidates from the department of Technology Management and Economics.

The course introduces central concepts, problems, views on and applications of qualitative
research methods. Throughout the course general methodological issues, as well as more
practical methods-related challenges, will be discussed in relation to the particular context or
the doctoral candidates’ projects.
The key aim is to review and develop an understanding of established principles, theories and
practices of qualitative research methods, and critically evaluate these in relation to own research area (academic discipline and research topic) and research strategy.
