​Q. When will we be appointed a supervisor?
A. After the web form application deadline the department will appoint you a supervisor.

Q. I’m planning on writing my Master’s Thesis but I haven’t found a company. What shall I do?
A. Read more about how to find a topic and a company in the master thesis presentation, in the “Guidelines” section. If you haven’t succeeded before the deadline please let us know when you submit the web form. We will try to help you but the process may be delayed.

Q. I’m planning on writing my Master’s Thesis but I haven’t found a partner. What shall I do?
A. At the department website you can post an ad on the page called “Master’s thesis partner wanted/offered”. It is possible to post and ad with or without a thesis proposal.

Q. I have not received any response to my ad for a Master’s Thesis partner. What shall I do?
A. When submitting your application via the web form let us know of your situation and we will try to help you. However, the process may be delayed.

Q. When I register to write my Master’s Thesis, do I need to do anything else than applying through the web form at the website of the department?
A. You don’t need to do anything else.

Q. Do I have to register via the Student portal or the Student center?
A. No, you do not. You will be contacted for a meeting with an administrator at the department. At the meeting you will go through practical information such as registration.

Q. I’m planning on writing my thesis at another department. Do I need to follow the process at TME?
A. When writing your Master’s Thesis at another department you need to follow the process at that particular department.

Q. If I write together with a person at another department do I need to be approved by my Master’s Programme Director?
A. Yes your Master’s Programme Director need to approve that your topic is within the scope of  your Master’s Programme.

Q. I’m planning on taking some courses while writing my Master’s Thesis, is that doable? 
A. The Master’s Thesis is a 30 credit course, equivalent with fulltime studies. It is not recommended to take other courses at the same time.
