Fusion Plasma Physics
The main focus of the group is to provide
theoretical support to the worldwide fusion effort for the realization of
thermonuclear fusion as a clean, safe and sustainable energy source. The main
areas of our research are plasma turbulence and transport, energetic particle
physics of burning fusion plasmas, and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) stability. The
research is strongly integrated in the international research activities, in
particular the EU and the ITER program.
