MC2

Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience – MC2

The Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience – MC2 – is a unique research department in the areas of micro- and nanotechnology, housing more than 200 researchers and PhD students. We focus our research on the areas of future nano- and quantum electronics, photonics, bio- and nanosystems.

Short clip from Kerstin Hamilton's video "Zero Point Energy", filmed in the Nanofabrication Laboratory at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden during autumn 2015. The film is a part of the art project Nano Societies.

Per Delsing and his team at Chalmers University of Technology, want to combine theoretical calculations with experiments on superconducting circuits to gain an understanding of how things fit together at the nano level and demonstrate the “twin paradox” on a microchip.

Watch an informative video about the master's programme Wireless, photonics and space engineering, which is coordinated by MC2. In the video current students talk about the advantages of the programme.
