*2020-01-13*Our Department is currently looking to recruit (at least) 6 PhD students in the field of Mathematics for AI. Two of these positions are funded by CHAIR. Four of the positions are funded by WASP AI/Math. Adding to the four WASP AI/Math PhD students that already started last year, these 6 new PhD student positions will further strengthen our Department's AI research initiative. The announcement of the positions, including information of how to apply, is available here. Specific information about each of the 6 PhD projects can be found here:

- Generalization Bounds for Deep Neural Networks: Insight and Design
- Deep Learning for the Optimal Filtering Problem
- Mathematics of Shape Learning
- Group Equivariant Convolutional Neural Networks
- Deep Learning and Likelihood-Free Bayesian Inference for Intractable Stochastic Models
- Stochastic Continuous-Depth Neural Networks
