MMG640 Scientific Visualization, 7.5 hec


When we solve a problem with the help of computers, we often get large quantities of data. To interpret the data and thus gain insight into the problem itself, computer graphics are an invaluable tool. We might want to understand how air flows around an airplane or create an image of a complicated geometrical object. In this course you will use advanced Matlab graphics and systems such as OpenGL, OpenDX and ParaView to visualize data. We will treat visualization in three dimensions, animation, and user
