The present PhD course will cover the following topics:
§ Carbon-based nanomaterials (including fullerenes, carbon nanodots, carbon nanotubes,
graphene), their characterization, functionalization, and applications
§ Metalorganic frameworks (MOFs), covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) and Single
Crystal X-ray Diffraction (SC-XRD)
§ Cellulose-based materials
§ Materials for energy conversion: solar cells, fuel cells, photon upconversion systems,
singlet fission, photocatalysis
§ Materials for energy storage: batteries, supercapacitors, solar energy storage
Seminar scientific papers (2-3 for each topic) + lecture presentations
