Machines and tools
As a student in architecture, you are free to use the workshop, A-verkstaden (more information at the website in Swedish)
. It is equipped with machines, some digital machines and tools for woodworking, and we also supply some materials for model making like cardboard, wood, foam, plastic etc.
Material used in the workshop can be bought there. You pay by Visa or Mastercard.
and Tabita Nilsson
work in the workshop and are happy to help you with all kinds of practical matters; from helping you use the machines to giving advice in construction and material.
In order to be able to use the woodworking machines, you must attend a workshop safety introduction. It is two hours long and gives you an introduction to the most commonly used machines:
It is not allowed to work in the machines without having done the safety course, no matter what your previous experience is.
You sign up for a safety introduction on your own initiative. Get a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 students together. Come to the workshop and book a time with Tabita or Peter that fits your schedule. If less than 5 people actually show up, the course is cancelled.
Open weekdays 9 am - 4.30 pm, closed for lunch 12-1.
At closing time 4.30 everybody helps to clean up!
