The department is responsible for Chalmers’
libraries, which supply information for Chalmers’ research and education.
Operations involve information resources, teaching and courses, publications
services and bibliometrics. The libraries also function as meeting places and
learning and study environments.
Chalmers’ libraries are in three buildings with different
activities: the Main Library and the Architecture and Civil Engineering Library
are on the Johanneberg campus, and Kuggen Learning Commons is on the Lindholmen
campus.
Everyone is welcome to borrow and read books, articles and e-books.
The Main Library contains literature in the fields of technology and science,
and the vast majority of resources are digital. The physical library offers a
selection of printed journals, an attractive study and learning environment
with study booths, silent reading rooms, a reading studio for dyslexic students
and students with disabilities, information desks, group rooms, a café and a
lunch room for students.
Programme items are regularly arranged at the libraries. See our
calendar for all the library events available.
