Near-field enhancement of a 1.31 um long gold antenna at the dipolar
resonance (lambda_r=3.41 um). The color scale indicates the magnitude of
the enhancement. This type of antennas can be used as hosts for direct
surface-enhanced infrared spectroscopy of molecular
groups.
