The Oshers promote cooperation between Chalmers and universities in California

Barbro OsherThe Pro Suecia Foundation, managed by Barbro Osher, supports cultural and educational projects with Swedish connection in Sweden and the U.S. Swedish-born Barbro Osher has lived in the U.S. for many years and among many other commitments, she is the consul general of Sweden to San Francisco. Together with her husband Bernard Osher, she is one of the largest donors in the U.S. 

In 2007, the Pro Suecia Foundation donated one million dollars, about six million Swedish kronor, to give researchers at Chalmers the opportunity to visit universities in California and broaden their cooperation.

Since 2008, about 30 scientists have received scholarships from this donation, below you can read about some of them.

It is all part of research conducted at Chalmers today and only a few of many exciting projects within the area of Life Science Engineering presented during the seminar ”Engineering Good Life” held in honour of Barbro Osher on Saturday 13th of December 2014 at Chalmersska huset in Gotheburg.
