Our strategy is to perform long-term excellent research projects of general interest for several partners mixed with shorter partner-specific implementation projects. The long-term basic research questions are jointly defined by academic and industrial researchers and should meet the core questions of SuMo Biomaterials. Our holistic approach towards scientific questions and problems is ensured by the involvement of different scientific competences in the different SuMo projects. The purpose of the implementation projects is to transfer knowledge obtained from our general basic research projects to specific key issues defined by member companies. The strong industrial contributions in SuMo form a key element in the success of the centre.
