On February 2 2017, GHz Centre was finally settled for 2017-2021 after more than six months of negotiation. All partners have signed the consortium agreement and the new Board was elected. The first Board meeting was held directly after the General Assembly.
In GHz Centre 2017-2021, we have decided to form a collaboration with the Antenna Systems Centre ChaseOn, a Vinnova competence centre in Antenna Systems hosted by the Department of Signals and Systems, Chalmers.
The newly elected board and the General Assembly is common for GHz Centre and ChaseOn. In this way, we foresee exciting opportunities for collaborations between microwave and antenna communities using a total body of three departments at Chalmers and 22 external partners. These range from small Chalmers' spinoff companies to large system houses in telecom, defense, space, automotive and life science engineering, originating from five countries. The two competence centres GHz Centre and ChaseOn, however, are still run as two separate centres with own projects and economy including reporting to Vinnova. GHz Centre + ChaseOn
