The workshop is facilitated by a team of researchers from Chalmers University of Technology with practical and research-based experience in regards to design thinking. It will take place on the 26th and 28th of January, 2016 (09:00-17:00 both days) at the Visual Arena, Lindholmen Science Park.
During the first day, participants will get to know the concept through a hands-on exercise. In addition, relevant practical examples will be presented to illustrate how the concept could be applied in an organizational environment. The first day ends with a small research exercise that participants need to complete till the second day, two days later.
The second day starts with sharing of research findings, and synthesis. The gathered results will be used to develop and test innovative concepts. In addition, the team will share insights from their research on design thinking in large American and German organizations, and how they have made it work in their respective contexts.
We invite participants from large Swedish organizations from various sectors that are curious to learn more about design thinking and experience it in small scale, to investigate if it is suitable for their own organization. We recommend 2-3 participants per company and we accept a maximum of 20 participants.
Participants will only have to cover material costs and expenses for food (1100 SEK + VAT, incl. lunch & fika for both days). The workshop has been held twice before with a number of large and medium-sized Swedish firms, some of which have taken the concept further. It is the last time the workshop will be offered at this price supported by Vinnova.
