Research

Research at the Centre for Healthcare Improvement (CHI) has a strong influence of action research. As a result, we do not make much distinction between research and development, but rather often conducts research by actively participating in improvement projects in health care. The research conducted is consequently done in partnership with the involved operations with the aim of reaching common, usable,  knowledge.

We have a variety of research projects in the CHI. A central starting point and common denominator in many of them is to find ways for a successful improvement towards a more patient-centered, efficient and safe medical care. In our projects we strive for an interdisciplinary staffed and a common knowledge generation between different knowledge domains, such as engineering, medicine, management, health sciences.
