At this MedTech West lunch seminar, professor of practice Bengt Arne Sjöqvist, project leader and program manager at Prehospital ICT Arena på Lindholmen Science Park, will talk about the arena and the project as well as update us on what is going on right now.
ICT and eHealth has the potential to radically improve prehospital care in many aspects. Prehospital ICT Arena (PICTA) was formed at Lindholmen Science Park in 2014. It is a neutral, open national collaboration arena applying the principles and ideas of Open Innovation. Within PICTA health care, business and academia join forces to share knowledge and identify obstacles that hinders the sector from growth and utilization of ICT/eHealth in an optimal and efficient way.
As part of this PICTA also identifies and runs projects with common interest to the stakeholders and a potential to develop the sector further. The project PrehospIT/Stroke is a good example. Here twenty-one parties in Sweden are involved in a project to create better conditions for optimal use of ICT/eHealth in pre-hospital care, by laying a foundation for national harmonization of semantic and technical interoperability - with the acute stroke chain as first application.
The presentation describes the background, status and plans for Prehospital ICT Arena, and also the status and results of the PrehospIT/Stroke project - which ends in spring 2017. The presentation will also shortly present the project ViPHS (Video support in the PreHospital Stroke chain) which is a breakout project from PrehospIT/Stroke. Further info can be found at picta.lindholmen.se.
If you register before 13:00 on 23 February, you will be served a light lunch after the seminar.
Note that there is a information seminar right before this seminar about the call Innovatörer i vård och omsorg 2017. You have to sign up for that seminar separately (link here).
