Power and automation technology with ABB for sustainable development

ABB Sweden and Chalmers have a long-term strategic collaboration agreement which will further increase the Chalmers students' employability, increase ABB's recruitment base and become a platform for new joint research projects. There are different types of collaborations at various levels and in various fields, and many of them are located at the divison of Electrical Power Engineering, but also in centers such as Wingqvist Lab and Swedish Life Cycle Centre.

“ABB has supported Chalmers Energy Area of Advance since the start 2010. The energy research at Chalmers has shown a positive development since the start. The coordination among the different research areas has created synergies and increased the competence level within each research area. The strong focus on energy research was one of the reasons for ABB to form a strategic partnership with Chalmers in 2013.”

Mikael Dahlgren, research director, ABB Corporate Research Scandinavia
